Three men and five women, a team from God's Invasion Army, will visit Palmdale from April 2 to April 9. These eight young people, a part of a group of 50 who are invading cities and country places up and down the west coast, have left homes and jobs for a year in sacrificial service without pay, following their Master and Commander, the Lord Jesus Christ. Sponsored locally by the First Baptist Church, they preach the gospel in door-to-door visitation, in afternoon meetings for children, and evening services for all ages. Evening meetings feature music, both instrumental and vocal, and short testimonials.
The two gatherings for children will be held on Tuesday and Thursday sfternoons, April 3rd and 5th, at 4 o'clock. Evening services, to which all ages are invited, are set for Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings, April 4th, 6th, and 9th, at 7:30 o'clock. The visiting team will also have charge of the Sunday morning service.
Of interest especially to members of the Baptist Church will be the supper-conference between the team and the Board of Deacons Tuesday at 5 p.m., and between the team and Sunday School workers at the same hour.
